This Sunday several Harriers travelled to Alicante in Spain to participate in the oldest half marathon in the world.
A few thousand runners twisted and weaved through Elche's undulating, but mainly flat city centre route, which culminated in a very colourful and packed finishing area.
In good cool conditions and sun shining, Hazel Berrett fantastically brought home the silverware by winning her age group category and, cheered on by her teammates and the big crowd, she duly collected her winning trophy on the podium.
Harriers results (chip times):
105th Simon Johnson 1-25-03 2nd V55
369th Ryan Barker 1-34-46
640th Will Stewart 1-40-17
641st April Stewart 1-40-18

Well done to all the Harriers that took part in this morning's very wet and very muddy Keighley 5k. Considering the conditions, there were some excellent results with the Harriers taking 8 of the first 20 places.
This was the latest race in the Harriers Race Challenge.
